PLATO is a platform dedicated to dialogue between different artistic practices, distinguished by its promotion of the decentralization of contemporary exhibition spaces and the creation of opportunities for new voices within the artistic landscape. Currently, PLATO operates in Évora and Porto.

Founded in 2022, the gallery adopts a multidisciplinary approach to artistic research, creation, and experimentation, bringing together national and international artists and curators, mostly emerging, and fostering a dynamic and ongoing dialogue with diverse audiences. Through this activity, it actively contributes to the enrichment and renewal of the contemporary art scene.

In parallel, Edições PLATO is an editorial project dedicated to contemporary art, aiming to give visibility to new forms of emerging expression. Through carefully produced publications, it explores potential new paths for dialogue and critical reflection.
